The purpose of the Screaming Eagle Band Boosters shall be to assist the band in developing and maintaining a quality music program at South Lake High School and in the surrounding community, to provide support, supplies, and funds for the activities, equipment, designated music, uniforms, transportation, instruments, and promotional expenses of the South Lake High School Band, and to create a better liaison between school officials, band officials, band members, parents and supporters of the band.

2021-2022 Changes
The Band Boosters will no longer operate as a separate financial entity from South Lake High School, and will no longer maintain a 501(c)3 designation with the Internal Revenue Service, nor the Florida Department of Revenue.
We will be condensing our Board of Officers to the following positions moving forward:

We will also continue to have committees, as needed, to help with Uniforms, Logistics, Concessions, and Special Events. The chairpersons of these committees shall be appointed by the Band Director and President.

COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES
UNIFORMS
The Uniform Liaison shall be responsible for assigning and fitting uniforms to members of the bands and oversee that they are properly maintained throughout the year. He/she also orders uniform shoes, gloves, t-shirts, bags, and all supplies related to the uniforms, student apparel, parent apparel, and staff apparel. He/she will work directly with the band director and co-treasurers to account for all financial information related to uniform cleaning, merchandise inventory purchase, and merchandise inventory sales. He/she will also work with the vice president to assign volunteers and log all volunteer hours of his/her respective committee.
LOGISTICS
The Logistics Liaison shall be responsible for organizing all the facets of transporting the band’s equipment to and from our various events. He/she is responsible for all administrative tasks related to drivers licensing, insurance, tags, titles, rentals, etc. Our fleet of potential vehicles includes: a large cargo trailer, a small cargo trailer, and/or rented moving vans/trucks. He/she will work directly with and report to the band director and co-treasurers to account for all financial information related to logistics maintenance, licensing/tags, insurance, inspections, and rental fees. He/she will also work with the vice president to assign volunteers and log all volunteer hours of his/her respective committee.
CONCESSIONS
The Concessions Liaison shall be responsible for conducting all business that relates to the purchase, preparation, inventory, and sale of concessions items for various sporting events, school-sponsored activities, and community events on and off campus. He/she will work directly with and report to the band director and co-treasurers to account for all financial information related to concessions. He/she will also work with the vice president to assign volunteers and log all volunteer hours of his/her respective committee.
SPECIAL EVENTS
The Special Events Liaison shall be responsible for organizing and operating our annual 5K fundraising event, including: registration, corporate sponsors, official timing, merchandise, awards, advertising, food, entertainment, facilities, security, race route, race marshals, and follow up. He/she will also be responsible for organizing a jazz dinner & silent auction, spirit nights at local restaurants, and music performance assessment events hosted here on our campus. He/she will work directly with and report to the band director and co-treasurers to account for all financial information related to all special events. He/she will also work with the vice president to assign volunteers and log all volunteer hours of his/her respective committee.
